Fairlawn is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fairlawn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I will never go here again. My kids have been going here for years and we liked them for the most part. My youngest had a couple cavities filled. One was still bothering him weeks later. We went back and they said it was a root canal actually. Took images. Said they tried to save the tooth last time but now theyβll just take it out. I assumed it was loose. No. Numbs my son up to the point of blood gushing. Starts βwigglingβ it out. Heβs crying at this point because the dentist is just tugging on his very much not loose tooth. Dentist stops to numb him more and finally I ask if there is another way. Dentist says he could write a script for amoxicillin and see what happens. And use nitrous oxide the next time. Amoxicillin cleared the pain. Why was that not the first step? And if nitrous oxide was an option, why was that never brought up without me having to ask? Putting a child through more pain unnecessarily is all that happened that day. Also the receptionist is always rude!

So to start - I've been taking my children there their entire life. They are on the spectrum, and Dr. gerstenmaier has always been really good with them. The last time we had a cleaning the dentist missed a cavity. I mean mistakes happen right? Sure. My daughter is very sensitive when it comes to her mouth. Always has been. She started having a bad reaction and getting upset and instead of meeting my daughter with kindness and understanding. The dentist was mean and rude to her. He dismissed her pain, didn't take accountability for missing a cavity, and now my daughter has these marks in her cheek. So needless to say we will not be going back there.

My child had a cavity filled at this location, and we will never return. An abcess formed in her gum and she had continued tooth pain for weeks following. We ended up seeking dental care elsewhere and were told the cavity was filled too deep into the nerve, which was proven by an xray. The tooth had to be extracted. I was also called multiple times by a very rude receptionist for a bill that I will not be paying due to their negligence.

Giving this office 2 stars actually hurts my heart! My oldest daughter is 15-she aged out at 12. I also have a 9, 7 and 4 year old. My kids have went to the dentist twice a year since the moment they popped a tooth. Gerstenmaier is the only dentist any of them have ever seen. When I was pregnant with my 9 year old I myself was in dental school and did my externship hours here! The dentist here are absolutely great, however every receptionist they have is rude. I dealt with it for years because I loved the dentist so much but today was the final straw. I sent my mother in to have a form filled out for my preschooler and they said we had not been in since 2023. I'm not even sure how that could have happened, in my mind I thought my 7 (then 6) had fillings last year. But regardless, my bad. I call to schedule them (I've had nothing in the mail or no calls telling me they are at this point over a year due). The first lady answered ask if they've been here before I go to tell her how I must have messed up and what happened with my mom and she cuts me off and puts me on hold. Another lady picks up- How can I help you? I again go to tell her I must have messed up- I need to schedule my 3

Excellent pediatric dentists! My son has the biggest fear of dental work...these guys are amazing with him, have been going here since he was 3yrs, now 10yrs old. I'll also add that I used to work for a dental office that had a pediatrics department so I know a good dentist when I see one! I'm also impressed with the receptionist, she runs the front desk all by herself & has for many years. I don't have to worry when I call that I'm getting one of 10 receptionists who don't know me or my son or our situation. Update..I couldn't find anywhere to get my son's tooth extracted without it being 3 months out & they found us the nicest place to go & they had his tooth out within 30 days instead 3 to 4 months. I can't say enough good things about this place. Especially because my son is plagued with dental carries. Thank you to both Dr. Gerstenmaier's, you guys are the best of the best! I felt the need to update again to say that my son has medicaid insurance & they've always gotten us in the next day when he's in pain. I've never felt like they discriminate because of my insurance.
